Patience And Confidence
© By: Richard Newton Sherrer

Fret not about evil,
Nor envy wicked things;
For what you may marvel,
Is the downfall it brings.

They soon dry up like grass,
Wither like a green herb;
As pleasure will soon pass,
Being left on the curb.

Trust God in what is good,
Feed on His faithfulness;
And doing as you should,
Will bring you blessedness.

Be happy in the Lord,
He will give desires;
Like an eagle that soared,
Getting what requires.

Your righteousness will shine,
Bright as the noon day sun;
When you start to align,
With Father and Son.

So let go of anger,
And leave your rage behind;
That the Lord can anchor,
In both your heart and mind.
