Elizabeth's Biography:
Elizabeth Dandy was raised in Salzburg, Austria.
Educated at the Benedictine Abbey Frauenchiemsee in Bavaria and after graduating
studied Music and Dramatic Arts at Salzburg Academy for Performing Arts, and was
active in the performing arts at a very tender age.
She also studied languages at Perugia University. Emigrated to Canada in l952,
worked her way across Canada as a foreign language translator, settled down in
Montreal were she was very active in a wide variety of artistic endeavors in her
spare time, when she met her husband Stephen. They both came to the USA in 1961,
and with the exception of a brief period of time, in which they both returned to
Austria, and lived contiguous to the former home of the Trapp Singer Family
(Movie Sound of Music) they lived in Kings County, N.Y.
Elizabeth is deeply indebted to her beloved husband's steady prodding to be
active in all the arts.
She is presently translating part of her mother's poetry as well as doing her
own which is currently running on diverse poetry sites. on the Internet.
